Summary: This paper explores the post-structuralist deconstruction of the medicalization of female sexual excess, focusing on the figure of the nymphomaniac and the cultural representations of female sexual desires as perverse. Through a discourse analysis of the films B.A. Pass (2012), Hunter (2015), and Sexaholic (2016), the study critically examines the media's portrayal of female sexual subalternity. It highlights how nymphomania is constructed to reinforce patriarchal control over women’s sexuality, linking it to female masturbation and lesbianism, thereby upholding heteronormativity and gendered power dynamics.
