The scholars have argued that there was Nehruvian dominance in the constituent Assembly of India. It has been argued that most of the issues were resolved in the assembly with good consensus. But this paper examines the idea of consensus and dissent with special reference to Constituent Assembly of India. It highlights how the dissenting views had major impact in the functioning of the Constituent Assembly of India.
