This study explores the implementation and impact of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) across different regions of India, based on data collected from 2,500 respondents. Districts were selected for sampling based on their levels of irrigated land, focusing on regions with the highest and lowest irrigation within adjacent geographical proximities. The study reveals that limited awareness of the scheme's technical aspects, administrative challenges, and inadequate financial support have hindered its effective implementation. Nevertheless, the scheme has significantly benefited farmers with larger landholdings who possess better awareness about its provisions and processes.
